Port summary
Most ships berth at Tangabryggja or Oddeyrarbryggja, both a flat 5–10 minute walk to central Akureyri (Hof, Akureyrarkirkja, Hafnarstræti). The town itself is an easy DIY morning; the famous landscapes (Goðafoss 50 km, Mývatn 100 km, Húsavík 80 km) all need ground transport — pre-booked tours, rental cars or the Strætó intercity bus 56. Iceland is card-first and very expensive — carry no cash but budget for €15–€25 lunches and €40+ activity tickets.
