The Antalya Archaeological Museum is one of the richest in Turkey, and the best place to understand the ancient cities you can visit nearby. Its bright galleries hold rows of Roman gods and emperors excavated at Perge, delicate sculpture, sarcophagi, mosaics and finds spanning prehistory to the Ottomans. It is fully indoor and air-conditioned, which makes it a smart choice on a hot or wet day, and sits conveniently on the tram line at the western edge of the centre.
