The hike itself is free and the trailhead is easy to reach independently. A taxi covers the ~14 km to the Torghatten car park in about 17 minutes for roughly NOK 350 / €32 each way (share it and it's a few euros a head); the Nordland bus 18-141 also runs to Torghatten but only about once a day, so check it against your all-aboard. From the car park it's a 20-30 minute uphill trail to stand inside the hole.

The town itself is the free, walkable core of this tour and sits right at the quay. On foot you can take in Brønnøy church, the harbour and the graceful Brønnøysund bridge, browse Havnegata and sit down for coffee and freshly griddled lefse in a local cafe for around €15.
