A chain of linked parks runs along the top of the Miraflores cliff, eighty metres above the surf: lawns, a lighthouse, the Parque del Amor with its Gaudí-style mosaic benches and the giant kissing statue, and a constant traffic of paragliders launching off the edge. It is flat, safe, free and about as good as a walk with no destination gets.
