Late afternoon, when Barranco's bars start to open
Barranco's wooden footbridge dates from 1876 and crosses the ravine that carries the Bajada de Baños down to the beach. The tradition is to hold your breath crossing it for the first time. Around it sit the Ermita church, a dense run of murals, the MATE photography gallery and the bars that make Barranco Lima's night-time district.
