Mid-morning guided tour (09:00 or 10:00) before the heat and crowds.
Completed in 1993 under King Hassan II, this is one of the world's largest mosques and the only one in Morocco non-Muslims may enter. The 210 m minaret is among the tallest religious structures on earth; the prayer hall holds 25,000 inside and 80,000 on the esplanade. Half of the mosque is built over the Atlantic itself.
