Cruise ships dock at Roseau Bayfront Cruise Berth, Roseau.

Plan my port days
DIY 6/10

Ships berth on the Roseau Bayfront, steps from town. Roseau is walkable, but Dominica's waterfalls, gorges and national park need a taxi or island tour.

🚢 Docked port0.4 km / 0.2 mi to city centre
⚠️Dominica's best sights are inland on steep, winding roads, so leave a generous return buffer and agree a firm pickup time with your driver. Trails and river sites can be slippery, and the Boiling Lake hike is a strenuous full-day trek.

Port summary

Most ships berth on the Roseau Bayfront cruise pier, right in the capital; larger or second ships sometimes use Woodbridge Bay (Deep Water Port) about 2 km north. Roseau itself is walkable - the Botanic Gardens, Old Market, cathedral and Dominica Museum are all within a few blocks. But the island's headline sights are inland or along the coast and need a taxi or organised tour: Trafalgar Falls, Titou Gorge and the Emerald Pool in Morne Trois Pitons National Park (a UNESCO site), the strenuous Boiling Lake hike, the volcanic Champagne Reef for snorkelling near Soufriere, and the Kalinago Territory, home of the Caribbean's last indigenous people. Dominica is also one of the few places on earth to see resident sperm whales year-round on a boat trip from Roseau.
