Glendurgan is a National Trust valley garden beside the Helford River, planted by the Quaker Fox family in the 1820s and famous for its 1833 laurel maze, a giant tulip tree and a valley of exotic and subtropical planting. Winding paths lead down through the greenery to the tiny thatched hamlet of Durgan on the water's edge. It sits right next to Trebah, about 20 minutes from Falmouth.
