Gyllyngvase, known locally as 'Gylly', is Falmouth's main beach, a gently shelving crescent of golden sand with clear water, a Blue Flag for cleanliness and a popular beachside cafe. It is good for a paddle or swim, with rock pools at low tide and the South West Coast Path running along the top. The beach is a 20-minute walk from the dock, past Pendennis headland.
