Kynance Cove, on the wild Lizard peninsula, is one of Britain's most beautiful beaches: a sheltered cove of pale sand and turquoise water framed by dark serpentine rock stacks and islands. A cliff-top walk and a steep path lead down to the beach and a seasonal cafe, on the coast near Lizard Point, mainland Britain's most southerly tip. It is about 50 minutes' drive from Falmouth by coach tour or car.
