Late morning; closed Sundays and shut for a long lunch
The Wall House is a restored stone warehouse at La Pointe, on the quiet western arm of the harbour, and it holds the island's territorial museum. The collection is small and unhurried: pre-Columbian finds, watercolours, salt-raking and fishing tools, and a clear account of the century when Saint Barthelemy belonged to Sweden and Gustavia was a free port. Entry is free. It is also the obvious move if a squall comes through, being one of the very few indoor things to do in town, but check the hours before you walk over - it closes on Sundays and for a long lunch.
