The town half is free and walkable: Andersgrotta (NOK 150 / ~€13, guided, usually from 12:30), Kirkenes church and the liberation monument are all a few minutes from the quay. Only the Storskog border needs wheels — a taxi runs the ~15 km east for about NOK 500 / €45 round trip (look-only, do not cross or photograph the crossing).
