🕐 Best time to visit
Good on a southern loop with the salt flats; morning light is softest.
Built in 1838 and named after King Willem I, Willemstoren still guides ships around Lacre Punt, Bonaire's southern tip. The tower itself is closed to visitors, but you can walk around it and watch the waves smash into the rocky shore. There are no facilities out here, so bring water. It slots neatly into a southern loop with the salt flats, the Slave Huts and Pink Beach.
Getting there from the port
25-minute drive south along EEG Boulevard past the salt pans to Lacre Punt.
