Port summary
Le Havre's cruise terminal sits at the Pointe de Floride pier, about 2.5 km southwest of the rebuilt UNESCO city centre. Most cruisers head straight to Paris, Honfleur, Étretat, Rouen or the D-Day beaches — Le Havre itself is an Auguste Perret architectural set rather than a sightseeing magnet. Plan transport carefully: Paris is a 2.5-3 hour drive each way, only worth it on 10+ hour calls.

From the cruise terminal to the city centre
Bee Le Havre runs a paid hop-on shuttle from the terminal to Place Perret in Le Havre city centre every 30 minutes on cruise days. Some cruise lines also run their own free shuttle to a coach park near Hôtel de Ville.
📍 Bee Le Havre coach pickup outside Terminal #1, signposted from inside the cruise hall
Le Havre taxis are metered. Pre-negotiated rates work for half-day Honfleur or D-Day tours (€250-350 per car). For Paris, a taxi is rarely worth it — use the SNCF train instead.
📍 Taxi rank directly outside the Pointe de Floride terminal building
Walking from the cruise terminal to Place Perret is 2.5 km and takes about 30 minutes along industrial dockside roads with a few exposed crossings. Most passengers prefer the shuttle, but motivated walkers can do it.
📍 Walk north along Boulevard Clemenceau from the terminal
LiA city buses cover Le Havre. The 509R coach to Étretat departs hourly from Gare du Havre (40 min walk or short taxi from the cruise terminal). Tickets are paid for by tap-on contactless.
📍 LiA bus stops on Rue du Mont Joly and Boulevard Clemenceau, 5 min walk from the terminal
SNCF trains from Gare du Havre run hourly to Rouen (55 min) and Paris Saint-Lazare (2:10). Book on SNCF Connect at least the day before for cheaper Paris fares. Strikes are common — always have a fallback day in mind.
📍 Gare du Havre — 2.2 km from the cruise terminal; taxi or LiA bus 1 connects them
