Nature cruises run the length of the fiord to the Tasman Sea and back, passing Mitre Peak, Bowen and Stirling Falls, and colonies of New Zealand fur seals. Larger vessels have indoor lounges and cafes; smaller boats get closer to the walls. Sailings are scheduled and should be pre-booked, especially on a tight port call.
