Opened 2011, the Royal Opera House combines Italian opera-house tradition with Omani arabesque marble carving. The main auditorium seats 1,100; daytime guided tours cover the auditorium, the Royal Box and the rehearsal halls. Evening performances run October-May. Modest dress required during tours.
