Nydri is a tender call: ships anchor in the sheltered bay off Vlicho and passengers come ashore by tender to the town quay on Akti Aristoteli Onasi. The seafront tavernas, shops and excursion-boat kiosks are right where you land, so the town itself needs no transport. The two signature days out are a boat cruise around Skorpios and Meganisi (with a swim stop and often the Papanikolis sea cave) and the walk to the Dimosari waterfalls 3 km inland. Lefkada Town is 16 km north by KTEL bus or taxi. Roads are winding, so leave a comfortable buffer for anything beyond the town.

Nydri is a tender port and the excursion boats leave from the same seafront where tenders land, so there is no transfer. Buy a ticket at a seafront kiosk in the morning (about €25 for the basic Skorpios and Meganisi loop, more with lunch); boats leave around 09:00-10:00 and return mid-afternoon. Skorpios is private and cannot be landed on, so the DIY boat and the cruise-line version see it identically from the water.

From the Nydri seafront the KTEL bus to Lefkada Town takes about 30 minutes and costs €2-3, running a few times a day, or a taxi is €30-40 each way. Lefkada Town is flat and walkable once there; Faneromeni Monastery is 3 km above the town and needs a short taxi. Wandering the town is free and the folklore museum is about €3.
