A cool, hour-long guided walk through the limestone chambers near Discovery Bay, ending at an underground lake that glows green with algae. The caves have sheltered Taíno people, Spanish settlers hiding from the English in the 1650s and, later, smugglers running guns to Cuba; during the Second World War the entrance was used to store rum barrels. Guides tell the story well, and the walk suits most ages.
