Moonhole is the strangest thing on Bequia: a cluster of houses built in the 1960s and 70s into and around a natural stone arch at the island's western tip, with walls of local rock, whale bones set into the masonry and almost no straight lines or right angles. The original arch house was abandoned after falling rock made it unsafe, but the community below it is still lived in, which means it is private property and you look from the road rather than wandering through. The track out here is rough and taxi drivers know exactly where to stop.
Getting there from the port
Taxi to the western end of the island past Paget Farm; the last stretch is rough track
