Salalah's modern grand mosque opened in 2009 — white marble dome, twin minarets and a prayer hall holding 4,000 worshippers. Non-Muslim visitors welcome 08:00-11:00 outside Friday with modest dress. Smaller and less famous than Muscat's grand mosque but elegant and rarely crowded.
