Outer Harbor passenger terminal is a 5-minute walk from Outer Harbor railway station; the train to Adelaide Railway Station takes about 50 minutes. An all-day Adelaide Metro DayTrip ticket (~A$11.20 / €7) covers the train, the free 99C City Connector loop and the Glenelg tram for the whole day. The North Terrace museums and galleries are all free, and the Glenelg tram from Victoria Square is about 25 minutes each way.

Train Outer Harbor → Adelaide (~50 min), then Adelaide Metro bus 864F (the freeway express) from Grenfell Street to Hahndorf, about 40 minutes; both legs are covered by an A$11.20 / €7 DayTrip ticket. Hahndorf's main street is walkable end to end, the shops and bakeries are free to browse and a German lunch runs ~€20. The 864F runs roughly hourly, so check return times before you leave the city.
