Within the old village inside the castle walls stands the Suleymaniye Mosque, a single-domed Ottoman mosque rebuilt in the 16th century on Seljuk foundations and still in use. Small, whitewashed and shaded by trees, it is the quiet heart of the castle settlement, alongside a covered bazaar and old cistern. Dress modestly and remove shoes if you enter; the courtyard and the lanes around it are a peaceful pause on a castle visit.
