This is one of the easiest DIY days in Turkey: the pier is a flat 5-10 minute walk from the Red Tower and harbour. See the Red Tower and Seljuk shipyard first (a small combined ticket), then walk or take a short taxi to the cable-car lower station by Cleopatra Beach and ride up to the castle rather than doing the steep, hot climb on foot.
