The harbour is where a cruise day in Alanya begins and ends: a curve of waterfront beneath the castle crowded with wooden gulets touting bay cruises, fish restaurants, cafes and souvenir stalls, with the Red Tower standing guard at one end. It is flat, walkable and free to wander, a good place to get your bearings, grab a tea or a fish lunch, or negotiate a pirate-boat trip. Everything else in town radiates out from here.
