Tucked into a cove between pink-granite headlands, Sand Beach is a rare stretch of sand on this rocky coast, made partly of crushed shells. The setting is spectacular and it is an easy stop off the Park Loop Road or Island Explorer bus, though the water rarely climbs above about 13 C even in summer, so most visitors come to look rather than swim.
