The free cruise-line shuttle drops you at the city center near Cours Dajot, or walk uphill from the port (15 min, steep stairs). From Cours Dajot walk west along Rue de Siam to Tour Tanguy (free entry), cross to the Château de Brest (€9 adult entry for the Maritime Museum). The entire loop is walkable in 2–3 hours. The Pont de Recouvrance is a 5-minute walk from the castle.

Take the SNCF TER train from Brest station to Quimper (1h15, runs roughly hourly, from €12 one way). Walk from Quimper station to the old town in 10 minutes. Locronan is 17 km northwest of Quimper with no direct public transport — a taxi costs ~€30 one way, making it impractical without a car. A DIY to Quimper alone is very doable; adding Locronan is possible only by taxi or rental car. Cathedral entry is free; Musée de la Faïence is ~€7.
