Large ships berth at Costa Morena ~4 km from town with poor pedestrian access, so take the paid cruise shuttle (~€8–10 return) to central Brindisi near Corso Garibaldi; smaller ships dock inner-harbour within a 10-minute walk of the station. From central Brindisi it is a ~12-minute walk to Brindisi Centrale, then a Trenitalia regionale to Lecce (~30 min, €5, several departures per hour). Lecce station to Piazza Sant'Oronzo is a flat 15-minute walk; the whole old town is walkable and Basilica di Santa Croce entry is ~€6.

Alberobello is impractical by public transport from Brindisi (Trenitalia to Bari then the slow Ferrovie del Sud Est line is 2.5h+ each way), so the only realistic DIY is a rental car or a pre-booked private driver — it is a ~80–90 minute drive each way. Pick up a car at Brindisi airport (~15 min by taxi from the port), drive the SS16/SP toward Alberobello, and use the paid car parks just below Rione Monti. Trullo Sovrano entry is ~€2 and the trulli lanes are otherwise free to wander.
