Clear days for the cliff and island views

Taejongdae is a forested headland at the southern tip of Yeongdo island, ringed by dramatic sea-cliffs that drop to the open water where the Korea Strait meets Busan. A looping road, walked or ridden on the 'Danubi' road-train, links a series of viewpoints, an observatory, a lighthouse reached down a cliff path, and the Yeongdo lighthouse rocks where seafood stalls perch above the sea. On a clear day you can see the outline of Tsushima island in Japan; on a misty one the cliffs and pines are moody and cinematic.
