Cruise ships dock at the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal at Busan North Port, a short shuttle or taxi from Busan Station on metro line 1. Busan is one of Asia's easiest cruise cities to do yourself: the metro is clean, cheap and signed in English, taxis are plentiful and inexpensive, and cards work almost everywhere. Close by are the buzzing Nampodong and BIFF Square, the huge Jagalchi fish market and the hillside maze of the Gamcheon Culture Village. Further out but easily reached are the long beach at Haeundae, the neon Gwangan Bridge over Gwangalli, the dramatic seaside temple of Haedong Yonggungsa, the mountain temple of Beomeosa and the sea-cliffs of Taejongdae on Yeongdo island. A T-money or Cashbee transit card, tapped on the metro and buses, makes independent touring effortless.

From the cruise terminal to the city centre
Cruise lines usually run a shuttle from the terminal to Busan Station or Nampodong (about 10-15 minutes), the easiest link to the metro and downtown; check your daily programme for times.

The Busan Metro is clean, cheap and signed in English. From Busan Station (line 1) reach Nampodong, Jagalchi and Beomeosa directly, and Haeundae and Gwangalli via a change to line 2. Use a T-money/Cashbee card or buy single tickets.
