🕐 Best time to visit
Late afternoon when the fountains light up.
Casablanca's grand civic square laid out in the 1920s by French architect Henri Prost. The administrative buildings around it — the Wilaya (governor's office), the Post Office, the Bank al-Maghrib and the Palais de Justice — are textbook examples of Mauresque, the colonial-era hybrid of European Beaux-Arts and Moroccan Islamic detailing. The fountains light up at dusk.
