Celebration Key (opened July 2025) is a private-destination port day, not a town: ships dock at the island's pier so you walk straight off. Entry is free and chairs are complimentary; the two giant Starfish and Calypso lagoons, beaches and Paradise Plaza are open to all. The Suncastle water slides, Pearl Cove Beach Club (18+), cabanas and most drinks are paid extras, and one meal is included through Carnival's Island Eats program.

Carnival's purpose-built cruise pier at Celebration Key (opened July 2025) lets ships dock directly so guests walk off into Paradise Plaza; no tender needed. It holds two of Carnival's largest ships, with an extension underway for more. Coordinates are destination-level (the pier is not separately mapped in OSM).

From the cruise terminal to the city centre
Ships dock at the pier so you walk straight ashore; Paradise Plaza and the nearer portals are a flat walk away.
Walk off the ship onto the pier and into Paradise Plaza.
Complimentary trams connect the pier with the five portals across the large site, handy for reaching Pearl Cove or the far lagoon.

Ships dock at the Celebration Key pier (no tender) and you walk straight into Paradise Plaza in about 10-12 minutes. General admission is free and already includes both freshwater lagoons, the mile-long beach, loungers and one complimentary Island Eats meal, so the DIY day is simply skipping the €125+ Pearl Cove ticket and basing yourself at the free Calypso or Starfish lagoon. Note onboard drink packages do NOT apply ashore, so any drink is charged separately at ~€10-12.

From the pier it is a ~12-minute walk to Starfish Lagoon. Swimming in both freshwater lagoons, the Guppy Grotto splashpad and the beach are all free with general admission; only the Suncastle racing slides (~€14 all-day pass) and gear rentals (snorkel ~€18, pool noodle ~€10) cost extra. Buy the slide pass pre-cruise if you want it, otherwise the free lagoon and splashpad easily fill an active half-day at no cost.
