There is no public bus to Stegastein, but the seasonal Stegastein Shuttle (operated by Fjord1 / Norway's Best) runs from Flåm cruise terminal to the viewpoint and back, NOK 480 (~€42) round trip with a 30-minute stop at the platform. Alternatively split a taxi from the pier — NOK 1,500–1,800 (~€135–€160) round trip with wait, splits to ~€40pp for four. Bring layers; it is consistently 8–10°C cooler at the viewpoint than at sea level.
