Walk straight off the ship at Pier 1 (Larsneset) into the city centre — zero transport needed. Strandgata pedestrian street is 1 minute from the gangway. Trondenes Church is 3 km north along a flat road, reachable on foot in 35 minutes or by local bus (route to Trondenes, kr50-70) in 10 minutes. Church guided tour is NOK 190 (about €17); the Historical Centre is NOK 125 (about €11). Summer self-guided church entry (June 23 to Aug 15) is free.

The fort is in an active military area on the Trondenes peninsula, about 4 km from the cruise pier. Taxi from the port costs NOK 200-300 (€18-27). The guided tour is NOK 390 (about €35) per person and runs only at set times (typically noon on weekdays) — pre-booking is mandatory as there are no drop-in visits. With the transport add-on from Explore Harstad it's NOK 590 (€53). Valid photo ID required for entry to the military zone for anyone 16+.
