The Hellesylt-Geiranger car ferry doubles as one of Norway's great scenic cruises, threading the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord past sheer walls, abandoned clifftop farms and waterfalls like the Seven Sisters and the Bridal Veil. The crossing takes a little over an hour each way and runs several times a day in summer. Check the return timetable carefully so you are back well before all-aboard.
