Port summary
Ocean ships berth at HAROPA Port's Quai en Seine, on the estuary north-east of the old town. The main berth, QSH3 (ships up to 260 m), has the cruise terminal building; a second berth, QSH1, takes ships up to about 180 m. Both are 1.5 km from the Vieux Bassin. The walk is flat and signposted: along the quay, past the Jardin des Personnalités and Naturospace, then through the Jardin Public to the old harbour in 20–25 minutes. Many ships also run a shuttle coach to the edge of the old town. Honfleur itself is small, and a relaxed half day covers the Vieux Bassin, the wooden Sainte-Catherine church and one or two museums. Museums close for lunch (12:00–14:00). The Boudin museum and Maisons Satie close on Tuesdays, and the Musée de la Marine on Mondays. With a full day you can climb the Côte de Grâce for the estuary view or take the Nomad bus 111 to Deauville and Trouville (35–40 minutes). Étretat's cliffs and Le Havre's rebuilt UNESCO centre are across the Pont de Normandie and are easiest by taxi or tour. Honfleur fills up with day-trippers in summer, especially at weekends. Start early at the Vieux Bassin and keep lunch simple on busy days.
