From the cruise terminal to the city centre
Galata Tower is 10 minutes uphill; the Galata Bridge to Eminönü and Sultanahmet is 15 minutes. Sultanahmet itself is 35-40 minutes on foot.

T1 line runs every 5-10 minutes from Tophane through Karaköy and over the Galata Bridge to Sultanahmet, Beyazıt (Grand Bazaar) and Topkapı. Pay by Istanbulkart or contactless card.

Confirm 'taksimetre' (meter) before the ride. Uber and BiTaksi route via licensed yellow taxis and remove the language barrier; rates are similar to the meter.
