The Hellenic Train station is about 200 m from the cruise pier at the end of the Katakolon shopping street; the Katakolo–Olympia tourist train runs Monday–Saturday, departs Katakolo 08:40 (arrives Olympia 09:32) and returns from Olympia 13:10 (arrives Katakolo 14:02), and a return ticket is €10. From Olympia station it is a flat 10–15 minute walk to the site and museum. The combined site + museum ticket is about €12 (timed entry required for the Archaeological Museum). Taxis (~€40–50 return, negotiate first) and shuttle coaches (~€15 return) are fallbacks if the train slot doesn't suit.

The olive farms used by cruise tours (e.g. the Karambelas family mill) are working farms reached only by vehicle, so the cleanest DIY is a small-group Greek cooking class with cruise-port pickup booked in advance — operators meet you at the Katakolon pier, drive ~25 minutes to a family taverna or farm, and run the olive-oil/wine tasting, the cooking class and the meal as one ~4.5-hour package for around €85pp including transport. Doing both Olympia (by train) and a countryside cooking class independently in one cruise day is too tight, so treat this as an either/or against the Olympia DIY above.
