Morning for calm sea and shade
Chaweng is Ko Samui's longest and most famous beach, a six-kilometre sweep of soft white sand and clear, shallow water backed by resorts, restaurants and bars. The northern end is calmer and good for swimming, while the centre is the island's busiest tourist strip. Sunbeds and shade are easy to rent, with plenty of places for a drink or lunch a short walk from the sand.
