Lamai is Samui's second beach, a little south of Chaweng and noticeably more laid-back, with golden sand, clear water and a quieter village behind it. It is a good choice for cruisers who want to swim and relax without the crowds and noise of Chaweng. The southern headland leads to the famous Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks, an easy add-on to a beach day here.
