Kochi New Port (Shinko) is about 10 km south of the city center, so walking into town is not practical. Most cruise lines provide a shuttle to Harimayabashi or JR Kochi Station. The Tosaden tram network and My Yu sightseeing bus are excellent for getting around independently. Cash is important — many small shops and market stalls do not accept cards.
