Lautoka Cruise Port
Lautoka, Fiji · Pacific
Cruise ships dock at Lautoka Wharf — Main Berth, Lautoka.
Plan my port daysShips berth alongside at Lautoka Wharf, a working cargo port next to the sugar mill. The market and Vitogo Parade are 15–20 minutes' walk (or a short taxi); the Sabeto mud pools, Garden of the Sleeping Giant, Viseisei and Nadi need a taxi or tour.

Port summary
Lautoka is Fiji's second-largest city and the centre of the sugar industry on the dry, sunny western side of Viti Levu, which is why it is called Sugar City: in the cane-crushing season (roughly June to November) you will see the narrow-gauge cane trains and smell the mill. It is a working, multicultural town rather than a resort, with Indo-Fijian curry houses, Hindu temples and a big produce market. Ships tie up alongside at Lautoka Wharf on the western edge of town. Local dancers and craft stalls usually greet ships, and tour sellers and taxis wait at the port gate. The market and the main street, Vitogo Parade, are about 1.5 km away: 15–20 minutes on foot along Waterfront Road, or a few dollars by taxi; some ships also sell a shuttle bus. In town you can browse the market, visit the colourful Sri Krishna Kaliya Temple and stroll the Botanical Gardens. Most passengers head out of town: the Garden of the Sleeping Giant orchid garden and the Sabeto hot springs and mud pool are 25–30 minutes away, Viseisei village and Vuda Point (the legendary landing place of the first Fijians) 20 minutes, and Nadi with the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple and Port Denarau 30–40 minutes. Island day cruises to the Mamanucas leave from Port Denarau but are tight on a port day: book through the ship or allow a big margin.
