Lady's Mile is Limassol's easy beach: several kilometres of firm, flat sand and shallow, gently shelving water on the Akrotiri peninsula just south-west of the port, backed by a scattering of laid-back beach bars and fish tavernas. Open and undeveloped, with a salt lake and wintering flamingos behind it, it is calm and shallow enough for families and a quick swim-and-lunch alternative to sightseeing. It is a short taxi from the terminal - arrange a pickup, as there is no useful bus.
