A dedicated cruise terminal in Entertainment City is planned but not yet built, so facilities at the pier are basic. Intramuros, the walled city founded by the Spanish in 1571, starts about 1.5 km north-east: Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral, San Agustin Church and Casa Manila are all inside the walls and easy to link on foot, by bamboo bike or by horse-drawn kalesa. Rizal Park and the three free National Museum buildings sit just south-east of the walls. You can walk from the port gate, but the route runs past truck traffic in heat that often feels like 38°C, so most people take a Grab (₱150–250) instead. Binondo, the world's oldest Chinatown, and Quiapo Church are 15–30 minutes by car across the Pasig River; the Manila Bay sunset walk and SM Mall of Asia are to the south. Traffic is the big risk: from about 14:30 transfer times can double, more so in rain, so be back at the pier 90 minutes before all-aboard. Tagaytay and the Taal Volcano viewpoint are a full day with real traffic risk; only attempt them on a long call with a private driver.
