From Garden Pier the Meiko Subway Line leaves Nagoyako Station (5 min walk) and connects through Kanayama to the whole network; buy a 1-Day Subway & Bus ticket (¥870, about €5) at the machine and every leg below is covered. Nagoya Castle is ¥500 entry, Atsuta Shrine is free, and Sakae/MIRAI TOWER are walk-up. Trains run every 5–10 minutes so the loop is low-stress.

Both museums are indoor and reachable by rail from Garden Pier. The Toyota Commemorative Museum (¥1000, ~€6) is near Sako on the Meitetsu line via Kanayama; the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park (¥1000, ~€6) sits at Kinjo-futo on the Aonami Line, a separate rail ticket (¥360 each way) from Nagoya Station. If your ship instead berths at Kinjo Pier, the Railway Park is a 10-minute walk and you can flip the order.
