Ships dock at Napier Port and a free cruise shuttle runs to the Napier iSite on Marine Parade (5 min, every 15-20 min). Marine Parade and Bluff Hill lookout are an easy walk from the iSite for free. Te Mata Peak is ~20 km away with no public transport to the summit, so the DIY version needs a pre-arranged taxi or rideshare (~NZ$110 / €60 each way, cheaper split across a group); you can drive right to the summit car park.

The Art Deco core is a 10-minute walk from the iSite drop-off. The Art Deco Trust runs daily guided walks from NZ$33 / €18 per person departing the Art Deco Centre at Memorial Square; self-guided maps are also sold there. MTG Hawke's Bay museum on Marine Parade is donation entry. Everything is flat and walkable — no transport cost beyond the free shuttle.
