There is no useful public transport from the cruise terminals to KSC, so a DIY day relies on Uber/Lyft (both operate at Port Canaveral) or a pre-booked shuttle — it is roughly 13 miles / 25-30 min each way and about €20-22pp one way when two share a car (much less for a group of four). Buy admission online in advance (~€58-64 with the standard online rate) to skip the gate queue; admission already covers the KSC bus tour to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, the IMAX films and all exhibits, so the only on-site spend is lunch. Allow 4-5 hours inside to do it justice.
