Lower Bay Beach

Lower Bay sits one headland south of Princess Margaret, and it is where Bequians go when they want a beach day. The sand is broader and the water is usually calmer, and there are two or three beach bars serving lunch under the trees rather than the single concession you get on Princess Margaret. Getting here is either a dollar van over the hill for a couple of EC dollars, a taxi, or a fifteen-minute clamber over the rocky headland from Princess Margaret Beach, which is fine in trainers and unpleasant otherwise. It is a better lunch stop than a short visit.
