Durdle Door is a huge natural arch of Portland stone jutting into the sea, and the single most photographed spot on the Jurassic Coast. A steep path leads down from the clifftop car park to the pebble beach beneath the arch. Wear proper shoes and allow time for the climb back up; it is well worth the effort on a clear day.
