🕐 Best time to visit
Early morning at park opening (07:00) to see wildlife before the heat.
Costa Rica's smallest national park is also its most-photographed. Easy trails wind from the entrance through primary rainforest to three crescent beaches. White-faced capuchins, two- and three-toed sloths, agoutis and iguanas are reliably seen with a local guide; the park caps daily entries so go early and pre-book if possible.
Getting there from the port
Long day excursion — viable only on 9+ hour cruise calls; take a pre-booked coach or driver.
