The Archaeological Museum of Pylos, housed in a restored building within Niokastro, gathers finds from across Messenia — Mycenaean jewellery and pottery, Hellenistic and Roman pieces, and relics linked to the 1827 Battle of Navarino. It is small and easily combined with a walk of the fortress walls.
Getting there from the port
Inside the Niokastro fortress, a 10–12 minute walk from the quay.
